CMA is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization and is run entirely by volunteers - none of whom are paid.
The fee is used for operational costs of conducting the Bala Vihar classes for kids, classes for parents and for carrying out Chinmaya Mission activities throughout the year.

Registration deadline for current CMA families for the next session 2010-2011 is Aug 15th. Online registration needs to be completed by Aug 15th to secure your spot in class. Fees must be paid ASAP (latest by Aug 22nd). A $25/child late fee will apply after that date.

Registration deadline for New families joining Chinmaya Mission Alparetta (CMA):
Online enrollment application may be submitted throughout the year. Once you are notified of space availability and class assignment, you have 2 weeks to complete registration. Late fee of $25/child will apply after that. Kids are enrolled in July-mid Oct. Requests received in Nov. and Dec. are held and the kids enroll in Jan.

The Open house for the new session is on on Sat./Sun Aug 21st, 22nd. All parents must attend the open house to sign forms and meet their child's teacher, get books, curriculum information etc.

1st class of the session will be on Sun Aug 29th. The timings will be 11am-12:30pm

The fees for 2010-2011 Aug-May sessions are as follows:

Family fee $100
$100 The family fee is due from each family annually (not optional) and is Tax deductible. This is used for the various CM programs at CMA.
Kid fee$150/child (3rd child is free).
The kid fee is due for each child annually.
This fee includes the cost of books for the kids.
One time initiation fee$50
Initiation fee is a one-time for families who are new to CM Alpharetta
(not previously registered with CMA). This fee is not refundable.

What is Family fee? Our Bala Vihar, is an integral part of Chinmaya Mission Alpharetta (CMA) and is seen as a family activity to learn, grow and volunteer. Your family fee helps us to maintain and grow this organization in the direction set by Chinmaya Mission. We need support from all members in various forms such as volunteered time, energy, and monetary.

CMA provides parents with an avenue to advance in our spiritual pursuits through Study Groups, Gita Classes, Bhajan/Chanting class, Jnana Yagnas (discourses), Service Projects etc.
Active participation in any of these activities - including the invaluable voluntary services performed in Bala vihar - adds a new fragrance to our spiritual blossoming.

If you are new to CMA: Please go through the ‘new applicants’ process (http://www.chinmayamissionalpharetta.org/newStudentApplication.aspx) first.  Once we receive your application, we will contact you and give you further instructions on how to register with CMA. Please do not send any checks until that!

Cancellation Policy:

  • Initiation fee will not be refunded.
  • Cancellation fee if cancelling in 1 month of registering - $25/child; $25 from family fee
  • Cancellation fee if cancelling after 1 month of registering but before Jan - $75/child; $50 from family fee
  • Cancellation after 1st class in Jan - no refunds.
